Ep. 59 - F.T.F.O. by Shaggy 2 Dope

2006 is upon us, and the Juggalo world would just keep on moving like it always does. We know that ICP were still making music after the 6 Joker Cards dropped, but it seemed like after 12 years, SOMEONE had to make a solo record. Shaggy 2 Dope apparently decided to not be lazy and churn out a full 17-track project because... Why not? Does this album hold up to it's significantly smaller 1994 predecessor? Does 2 Dope craft a modern hip-hop classic? Does Mr. Stretch Nuts ease up on the homophobic slurs? These questions may be answered today, and if you don't like it, you can... Fuck The Fuck Off.

SB 4 - Black Materia Remake by Mega Ran

In 1997, Square Enix released a game-changing RPG called Final Fantasy 7. In 2011, a Philadelphia based teacher/rapper/hero released an album based on that very game. Never thinking he would have to touch it ever again, Square Enix went and remade Final Fantasy 7 just last year, and suddenly a remake of the album was inevitable. Does this remake surpass the original? Can a game from 1997 very easily carry its themes to the modern day? Did Schmeev really bookend his month with terrorism? Hallowicked is one of ICP's most important shows of the year, and at every one, a limited single was pressed up exclusively for those who attended. Now, we've heard a couple of these tracks crop up here and there on some prior collections, but in 2005, ICP included a full compilation of all the Hallowicked tracks made up to that point and packaged it with Forgotten Freshness 4.
