On Halloween in the year of our Lord 2000, an artist named Poe released a sort of companion piece to a novel released in March of the same year. At the same time, it was a tribute to her father who had recently passed, and a way to explore the grieving process of a complicated relationship. In that spirit, we also discuss the complicated relationship between listeners and artists, artists and labels, there's a lot to cover here. Was Poe ahead of her time?
